Official Rules & Details:
* Each category will also be divided by gender. All contestants will be judged by a member of the same sex. The same number of prizes will be awarded to the brothers and sisters (e.g. for category 1 there will be two $400 prizes, one for a brother and one for a sister).
- Application deadline: Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011
- Competition: Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011
(Please check IIOC website and your emails for the specific timings)
- Participant cannot be a Hafiz of the Qur’an in Category 1- 6
- Participant cannot be a known imam at any masjid in Category 1- 6
- Participant cannot be leading salaah at any masjid in Category 1- 6
- Participant can only take part in one category
- Participant will be judged on fluency in recitation and accuracy of pronunciation
- All decisions made by the IIOC Committee will be final and binding
